Ik ben een Nederlands beeldend kunstenaar en vormgever.
Mijn stijl is lyrisch abstract. Ik schilder grote en kleurrijke, acryl schilderijen en ik maak houtsneden
met een speciale druk-techniek. In opdracht maak ik kleurontwerpen, muurschilderingen en keramische toepassing voor
gebouwen en winkelcentra. Ook heb ik een atelierwoning, gastenverblijf en art residency in Cappadocië, Turkije,
waar ik collega beeldend kunstenaars uitnodig om te komen werken. Cappadocië is een bizar tufstenen landschap,
ontstaan door de vulkaan 'Erciyes'.
De vorm van een vulkaan gebruik ik in mijn persoonlijke symbolentaal, op een abstracte manier, als metafoor voor kracht...
De invloed van het bizarre landschap van Cappadocië op mijn schilderijen is duidelijk zichtbaar.
In mijn ateliers in Nederland en Turkije geef ik workshops schilderen.

I'm a visual artist and designer from The Netherlands. My style is lyric abstract. I paint large colorful
acrylic paintings and I make woodblock prints with a special printing technique. In assignment I do color designs,
mural paintings and ceramic application for buildings and shopping malls.
Also I have a guesthouse, art residency and art studio in Cappadocia, Turkey, where I invite colleagues to stay and work. Cappadocia is a strangely sculptured landscape, made ages ago by the volcano 'Erciyes'. I use the volcano shape in an abstract way in my personal language of symbols, as a metaphor for strength... The influence of this bizarre landscape on my artwork is visible. Beside my artwork I give workshops art in both my studio's in The Netherlands and Turkey. |
